The Largest Tree on Earth

IMG_20150508_145239 The General Sherman is a giant tree located in the Giant Forest of Sequoia. It’s estimated to be 2,300 years old. Mama is right – we do get better as we age! 🙂 My favorite trail was the Congress loop. Among the massive trees were the Senate and House in clusters. WOW. The President is the fourth largest tree in the world. Can you imagine how large their root systems have to be to support such mass/volume? What’s beneath the surface matters. It was a good reminder for me to pray for the leaders of our country. God help us.
